Still in West Bay. The four of us met up for a Coffee / Ice Cream mid afternoon. We decided that we would have another walk around before heading back to Higher Kingcombe where we were staying. I have played with the Art Effects Filters in the Olympus OMD em1 mkii on a couple of occasions so I though to add a bit of variety into my Dorset Captures I would have another play.
I also wondered what effect these art effect filters would have using my very cheap plastic lens (Holga). The first 7 pictures are using this lens. the others are using a 'proper lens'

Dorset Day 5 of 6 - West Bay
West Bay in Dorset is a great coastal village on the outskirts of Bridport. For those that have seen Broadchurch on TV, a crime series and starred David Tennant and Olivia Colman will recognise some of this location as the filming was done here.
It was a wonderful, sunny afternoon for a stroll around this harbour village. Well with a visit if you are in the area. There are no shortages of quay side food stalls.

Dorset Day 5 of 6 - Dorchester
Day Five of our trip. I had been reading about Dorchester Abbey and thought our trip would be a good opportunity to visit it BUT little did I know!! I failed to see on my investigation that there is a Dorchester on Thames, over 100 miles from where we were staying and that was where the Abbey was. HayHo, I felt a bit of a twit having traveled to Dorchester with three other people from the group. We had a cup of coffee and had a walk round. Some interesting new builds near the old Brewery.

Day 2 of 6 - Infrared Photography at Portland Bill Lighthouse area
I took my Infrared Camera to Dorset with me and an afternoon spent at Portland Bill was an ideal time to use it.
I decided to shoot into the light and create some lens flair to try a different artistic approach. I quite like the effects. All the pictures here have been post processed in Lightroom and Photoshop. The 'Blue Photos' are as they are created by the camera with its special IR white balance. The 'gold and Blue' photos are where I have performed a channel swap in Photoshop.
I personally prefer the dark blue of the sky that this technique gives. A few have been processed in monochrome.
