Lyme Park is a large estate located south of Disley, Cheshire. The estate is managed by the National Trust and consists of a mansion house surrounded by formal gardens, in a deer park in the Peak District National Park.

Dressing up at Lyme Park
Lyme Park is a stately home managed by the National Trust in Cheshire. When we arrived we found that there was an opportunity for Eloise and Imogen to dress up in period costume. They were really excited by this.
Lyme Park house is an Elizabethan House, famous, I am told, for Mr Darcy to emerge from the lake in a wet white shirt (1995 BBC Drama 'Pride and Prejudice' - Colin Firth), Cannot see why myself !!
