Milton Park and Ride

Milton Park and Ride

After a nice session in the gym swimming pool I traveled to Cambridge to meet up with Phil and Ann. As luck would have it I arrived at the Park and Ride just as the bus was leaving. No problem I will take some photos of the tarmac and tiles. Some beautiful shadows and light.

Rainy Day in Cambridge

Rainy Day in Cambridge

I needed to pick David’s glasses up from Boots and Sue needed to go to the hairdressers so we combined the two activities rather than take two cars. This would also give me an opportunity to take some photos of a couple of buildings in Mill Road.

This was out plan yesterday. We woke this morning to torrential rain but not to be put of doing a bit of photography in the city centre I modified my plans slightly. I did however get very very very wet.

Still amazed at the quietness of various places.

Haddenham Jubilee Village Walk

Haddenham Jubilee Village Walk

Had a walk with Sue to the local Spar Shop today. I was interested in how the village had been decorated for the Queens Platinum Jubilee. I was not disappointed. A couple of houses even had Christmas bunting up :)

The Road Home

The Road Home

The First Image .....

Anyway I also get to play with my phone camera out of the passenger seat window.

This image is using the Slow Shutter Speed App and I took a number of images today using this. Sue had to pop into the Farm Shop on the way home and I played with another  phone app called PhotoSplit. Using the multiple exposure template I loaded two of the SlowShutter Speed shots and blended them to give a pleasing 'pastle' result.

When I got home and imported them into Lightroom and I realised I saved the result twice. I fiddled with both images and on the second image I reduced Texture and Clarity to -100 and achieved a very soft effect. I imported these two versions as layers into photoshop and played around with the blend mode and opacity of the soft image just to add to the pastel effect.

The other images....

where all taken using the Slow Shutter Speed App and adjusted in Lightroom

Here we go Again

Here we go again It’s been a long time since we have done a jigsaw, probably just after two Christmases ago (ie Jan 2025). I decided to get ...
