Female Ruddy Darter - Sympetrum sanguineum
Spent an hour in the garden this afternoon after shopping in Cambridge this morning (I bought a new hand sander :)
Out in the garden with my trusty macro lens this little beauty behaved very well and certainly posed for me. Sue is still in the garden trying to catch a Damselfly with little success.
I was quite pleased with these shots.
It is a Female Ruddy Darter Dragonfly - Sympetrum sanguineum
