The Intimate Landscape

The Intimate Landscape.

After a morning of doing stuff I ventured into the garden with camera and lensbaby, still fitted with a +4 Diopter from yesterday. I was inspired by a video on Kelby One by Karen Hutton on Macro Photography where she talked about being up close and personal. So I was looking for some intimate landscapes and interesting shapes, colours and textures.

This image was not strictly in the garden but photographed on my way to the garden :)

These two Pictures were from yesterday

Pin Hole and Lensbaby in Cambridge

Pin Hole and Lensbaby in Cambridge

Following on from my daily photo journal .......

Before I went to the dentist in Cambridge today I remade the pinhole adaptor  for my Lensbaby. Nothing elaborate, just double sided tape and kitchen foil stuck on one of the removable apertures that came with the Lensbaby Composer. I have not worked out the aperture yet, but its small.
Off I went with my camera and modified lensbaby to Cambridge.

The first five images are with the PinHole modification. The other seven images are using a fixed aperture of f/8 on the Lensbaby Composer with Glass Optic

Post Processing - Fiddled and Diddled in Lightroom

Out and About in Cambridge

Out and About in Cambridge

On Saturday I spent a lovely 3 hours between, 3pm and 6pm, down in Cambridge with friends from the Cambridge Camera Club.

We met at the Mill Pond and then walked round into Kings Parade. The weather was a bit overcast but it did not stop us.

I spent some time playing with multiple exposures and just watching the people. I got told off by a very nice lady at Kings college as one of my tripod legs had encroached onto Kings Property :(

As Twilight came round and led to night-time we moved back to the Mill Pond. I just loved the reflections in the water. We finished up at Sidgewich University Site. The buildings were beautifully lit.

We all left around 6pm.

My mind was quite stimulated but my knees were very glad to get home and sit down.
