Wandlebury Country Park with the Camera Club

Wandlebury Country Park with the Camera Club

Met up with a number of Cambridge Camera Club members at Wandlebury Country Park to look for Fungi and enjoy the autumn colours. We certainly did that. Not as many fungi as last year but we did find some nice examples. Met up with my friend Phil so ‘coffee and cake’ happened :)

According to the Woodland Trust there are over 15,000 species of fungi in the UK. I think this is a Common Conecap Mushroom.

Wandlebury - Tree Eyes

Have you ever thought you are being watched? Whilst I was fungi hunting in Wandlebury I am sure that  Dryads (Tree Nymphs) were watching. I seemed to catch glimpse of them out of the corner of my eye. After a while I realised that a lot of trees had what could only be described as eyes.

Tree Nymphs Eyes. There were three in this tree, one even had sunglasses.

Wandlebury - Tree Views

I just love trees and whilst I was walking around looking for Fungi I took these shots.  I processed them a little different to normal.
