ShimmyFest 2019

The dance group my daughter Zoe belongs to is Called Shani. This group is three ladies, Caroline, Wendy and Zoe (my daughter).

Three of us from the Cambridge Camera Club went along to take photos for them. Trevor Lee, Sue Badcock and myself.

The Day started at 1pm and was a 'Tea Party'

The Ladies Dancing had so much energy I got tired just watching them. Excellent afternoon.

Shimmyfest 2014

The dance group my daughter Zoe belongs to is Called Shani. This group is three ladies, Caroline, Wendy and Zoe (my daughter). You can find their web site at :-

For the last few years they have organised an annual dance event in aid of charity called 'Shimmyfest'. This year the event was held for Cancer Research UK and SANE.

Three of us from the Cambridge Camera Club went along to take photos for them. Trevor Lee, Alison Rawlson and myself).

The day started at 5pm with some workshops. There are a few photos from this part. At 7:30pm the Shimmyfest Show started.

Elizabeth, Janai, Chrissy, David (There are only a few male Belly dancers in the UK) and Zoe.

A photographers, we all found the strong Green and Magenta stage lights challenging.
BUT It was a really great evening.
