Easter Egg Tree Mutiple Exposures

Up 'sort of early' this morning, Sue had already left to walk to our local butchers.  First year for a few years where we had not an easter egg hunt planned either at a National Trust Property or in out garden for the any kids that visit. 

Our Easter Tree caught the sunlight and I decided to try some in camera multiple exposures. Post processing in Lightroom only. The last picture is the 'Tree on its own where I moved it to  photograph.'

Waterloo Re-enactment Weekend at Ickworth House - Easter 2017

Yes I do mean 2017, this was last year !!!

Its taken me a year to remember these photos that I took at Ickworth House last easter.

The 95th Rifles Waterloo Re-enactment was a great event. Lots of noise, smoke and great fun.

Colourscape at Waddesdon Manor

Back on the Easter weekend Sue and I travelled to Waddesdon Manor, near Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire. It is a National Trust house and a place we have visited a few times. We met up with our daughter Nicki and her family. The main attraction was the fact that they had a Colourscape event.

I was going to describe what Colourscape is but this quote is taken from Wikipedia ....

Colourscapes are large air-supported colour sculptures where colour is used to make space active, to make an ambiguous space beyond measurement. Visitors to Colourscapes, wearing coloured cloaks, choose the journey they make through the interconnected chambers, becoming part of the sculpture, as the colour they wear changes as they move, dynamically altering the space that others see. Inside Colourscape, people are entirely surrounded by colour, which is transmitted from the inner surfaces as daylight filters through the plastic membrane from which Colourscape is made. This immersion in colour is an intense experience giving rise to interesting perceptual phenomena and emotional richness

The first Colourscape was opened in 1971. The structure at Wadesdon Manor at Easter was not a large one but it did give us a great experience. The queue to get in was a bit on the long side which was due to the popularity of it and Waddesdon Manor.

The colour certainly a challenge for camera exposure and colour balance.

In the centre of the tubes was a large white dome where musicians were playing 'atmospheric / mode' music.

I found creating monochrome versions of these highly coloured images very pleasing - I hope you do too.
