Ely Festive 5k Run

Ely held their annual Festive 5K run today in aid of 'Arthur Rank Hospice Charity'. Youngest daughter, Frances, and her partner, Andy, took part. PLUS This year Grandson Aiden ran with as well.

They all made good time. The winner, number 79 - Gordon Irving did the course in about 16 mins.

Aiden (Number 157) was running with his Dad, Andy (Number 392), and they did it in 25 minutes. Not bad for his first run.

Frances (number 391) did it in 31mins.

In True Badcock style I missed the opportunity to photograph Aiden on his first run. I got him on the side behind and Elf, pesky things always get in the way :)

768 Runners took part. A real fun day.

Here is the Pesky Elf that got in the way 0 Aiden and Andy just behind him.

At the end, joined by Beanie.

After Christmas Visit to Ely Cathedral

I visited Ely Cathedral for the Crib Service on Christmas Eve. The tree and Star of Bethlehem lights were quite impressive. I decided that I would visit with my camera after Christmas. I usually use my Canon for my Cathedral photos but this time I use the Olympus OMD EM1 mkii. I am very pleased with the images. The last two photos I was experimenting with the live composite mode.
