Fairchilds Meadow Walk

Sue and I decided to have a walk to Fairchilds Meadow today to see what the insects were doing. We did get caught in the rain but it was fun.

All. we have to do now is try and identify them :)

Haddenham Fisheye Fun

Haddenham Fisheye Fun

I have borrowed a 8-15mm Fish Eye Zoom from my friend Jonathan till after Christmas. I was out using it the other day in Cambridge and I realised I had not posted this set taken around Haddenham about a month ago. At its widest setting it produces a circular image with a black surround. I have used photoshop to change this to white and add a black circular key keyline.

Orchard Walk

Orchard Walk

Sue and I took a wander over the apple orchard at the edge of our village. The weather forecast said the day might be sunny, rainy and possible thunderstorms, but we both felt like a walk anyway.

These photos was taken with the Olympus OMD em10mkii with my Lensbaby with sweet 50 optic fitted.

I am really enjoying the creativity of this lens, moving the sweet spot around the frame is an interesting experience and I have not fully mastered this yet.

As we left the orchard it indeed did start to rain and just as we arrived back home we had some thunder

Frosty Walk to the Village

Alexa wakes us each morning with an alarm and the weather forecast for Haddenham. The wether forecast for today was cold to very cold :) (zero to -3C).

Sue and I had a walk to the shops. It certainly was cold but it did not feel that cold in the sun.

We found some great shadows in the graveyard and a nice fungi. As we walked over the playing field again I was struck by the shadows. Sue and I had a play with one tree :). The metal water butt for the allotments had frozen and someone had taken the ice out of the but and layer it on the grass. It was very thick. Looking at the butt it had frozen again. Yep - It was cold.

Here we go Again
