Gifford Circus

Its been a long time since I visited a circus. This was supposedly Eloise's treat - I can only say I was really excited before and it was not a let down at all. Great Fun.

You can see Gifford Circus web site by clicking here

There is a great quote on their web site

“I held the jewel of my childhood up to my eye, and through it I saw ponies and a dressing-up box and a tent, and that was Giffords Circus.”
-Nell Gifford

The lighting was challenging to say the least. These photos where shot on my Canon 5D mkiii at ISO20000. Colour balance in Adobe Lightroom was interesting !!

Blenheim Palace

Sue and I travelled to Swindon last Friday for Granddaughter Eloise's 5th Birthday. As a treat for her we planned to go to the Circus that was at Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire. Sue and I arrived just before lunch so there was enough time to have a bite to eat and then have a look around the grounds of the Palace before we met up with Eloise, her sister and Parents.

We will need to return to go into the Palace.

Wikipedia states ...

Blenheim Palace is a monumental country house situated in Woodstock, Oxfordshire, England. It is the principal residence of the dukes of Marlborough, and the only non-royal non-episcopal country house in England to hold the title of palace.
It was also the birthplace of Sir Winston Churchill.
