Seahouses Rock Patterns

Day 7 and our Last evening before our return home. It was here back in June 2015 that I have become fascinated with Rock Patterns and the abstract vision they can create. While Dinner was being prepared a few of us ventured to the beach and I decided to revisit these wonderful patterns.

Here are a small collection of the images I took.

It you would like to see the photos I took in 2015 then here is the link to that blog northumberland-post-06-seahouses-rock.html

Embleton Beach - Abstract Wave Patterns

Day 7 of our stay in Northumbria. We stated off by visiting Embleton. I headed for the beach with a few others.

The Olympus OMD EM1 mkii has a 'Live Composite Mode' where you set an initial exposure (I chose 2 seconds at f/8 at ISO64) and then the camera takes shots every few seconds (its your choice - I chose 2 seconds) and records only the changes in highlights.

Its quite a creative feature and I am still exploring the possibilities.

I was focusing on the waves and patterns in the sea.

You let the camera continue, with the Olympus you see the result building up on the back screen, and then manually stop it.

Bambrough and Lindisfarne

Continuing with Day 06 of our trip to Northumbria. Before we set off to Lindisfarne we decided to go down to the beach at Bambrough. Then onto Lindisfarne we caught the Link Bus to the 'Castle'. The castle is National Trust. The young lady at the castle gave a very interesting and clear history of Holy Island and the castle - that's actually not a castle. First two photos are Infrared.
