Burnham Market Horse Trials

Trip to Burnham Market Horse Trials today, 06/04/2012. An extremely enjoyable day. Sue had always wanted to attend a Horse Trial event, and in particular the Show Jumping. The day started quite warm. We arrive late morning and enjoyed the cross country event.

After lunch we watched the horses in the practice ring and then sat and watched the show jumping for a while.

Lots of horses plus a few Alpacas (did you know that they are completely domesticated now, there are in the wild – they are bred for their wool and meat).

As the day wore on it became much colder so by the time we got back to the car we were pleased with its heater.

First Post - some favorite photos

This is my first blog. I have attached some of my favorite photos.

Taken at Kildrummy Castle in Scotland. I love the texture of stone.

On a Cambridge Camera Club outing in 2012. Looking up at the buildings created some great patterns and form

Dandelion photographed on a light box

Edinburgh Festival 2010. This lady was a real pleasure to photograph

Eilean Donan Castle. A classic view.

Ely Cathedral. I manipulated this photo as a result of seeing a painting hanging in my solicitors meeting room where the artist had painted a Cambridge Scene of the colleges with edges fading to just a line drawing. This was only intended to be an experiment but is now one of my favorite photos.

Taken at the Haddenham Steam Rally in September.

We where on a family holiday 'Glamping' (Glamour Camping) on a farm in Herefordshire. We heard that a calf was being born and able to go a watch. I love the way the Cow is looking at the farmer.

Our Garden Pond Lilly with a bit of manipulation to give it a bit of different effect

I love the texture of trees. This one has been cut in half and mirrored

Taken at the osprey centre in Scotland. These red squirrels where playing in the trees

Two steel horses at the Firkirk Wheel in Scotland. Well worth a visit.

Truckfest 2011.

I found this moth on our hallway wall. I used a ring flash as the hallway is not that bright.
