July Holiday to the Isle of Wight - Day 05 Osbourne House

Day 5 saw us travel to Osbourne House. This was one of the places on my 'bucket list' to visit. Built by Prince Albert and Queen Victoria after they purchased the estate in 1845. Built in the Italianate design which subsequently became known in Europe as the Osborne Style. Queen Victoria died in 1901 at Osborne House. English Heritage have done a stupendoues job recently in the restoration, both inside and out, in the tastes of Osbourne's former Royal Owners.

(ref taken from the English Heritage Book on the house).
