Holiday Trip to Leek, September 2015 - Ilam Park

I finally retired from work December 2014. My friends from Elutia gave Sue and I a UK Hotel Break Holiday. After looking at what was on offer we decided to go to Leek in Staffordshire. These next few posts are from that holiday last September.

Our first trip out was to Ilam Park, although its postal address is from Ashbourne, Derbyshire the park is actually in Staffordshire.

This is a quote from Wikipedia :-

Ilam Park is a 158-acre country park situated in Ilam, on both banks of the River Manifold five miles north west of Ashbourne, England, and in the ownership of the National Trust. The property is managed as part of the Trust's South Peak Estate.

The Church is 'The Church of the Holy Cross (Santa Croce) and dates fro the 10th Century. Unfortunately is was not open during our visit.
