Water Reflections at Chippingham Park

 We got up early this morning, well 07:00am, and decided to take a run out to Chippenham Park and Gardens. We have never been and as the Hall is only open from January (ish) till 1st April and we have forgotten to go in the last few years this seemed an excellent idea.

One of the main features of the park as we started walking round was a 'water stream'. I decided as the light was quite beautiful that I would take some reflections (one of my standard ongoing projects). The water was great and as I was taking the images I though that these needed to be inverted so the reflection was the 'wrong way' in other words the reflection was the scene.

Most of these images are inverted. I will let you decide which is which :)

Swiss Cottage - Its an Upside Down World

I am quite attracted to 'Upside Down Water Reflections' and yesterday, knowing (I had been told) that there was some water at Swiss Gardens,  this was one of my projects for the day.

I certainly was not disappointed, the water and lakes / ponds where beautifully clean. The day had a real lovely autumn feel to it.

This photos are all reflection photos, taken with the view to flip them vertically in Lightroom.

Lyme Park - National Trust

Lyme Park is a large estate located south of Disley, Cheshire. The estate is managed by the National Trust and consists of a mansion house surrounded by formal gardens, in a deer park in the Peak District National Park.

Northampton, 78 Derngate - Charles Rennie Mackintosh (1)

Back in June, 6 of us visited Northampton. Two reasons (1) to Photograph the Car Park (yes I know I am 'sad') and (2) to visit 78 Derngate. A Museum.

78 Derngate is a Grade II* listed Georgian house in the Cultural Quarter of Northampton, England, originally built in 1815. It is noted for its interior, which was extensively remodelled in 1916 and 1917 by noted architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh for businessman Wenman Joseph Bassett-Lowke as his first marital home.
