A few weekends ago Sue and I went to Skegness for a long weekend. We travelled to Lincoln to visit the Cathedral on the Saturday. We went by train from Skegness and there was a really good view of the Cathedral from this vantage point, much like travelling from Soham to Ely and seeing the 'Ship of the Fens'. What surprised me when we got to the cathedral after a very long steep walk up a hill is that there was very little opportunity to take photos from the outside as the Cathedral is very much tucked inside the buildings. There may be better views from the East Side and I am sure we will be going back again to explore this lovely city.
