The Day was a 1940's Themed event so there were lots of people dressed up in the clothes of the time. This blog is about some of those people. I decided to convert the photos to Monochrome using NIK Silver Efex Pro 2 and then give a sepia tone in Lightroom. If I had thought about it I would have toned in Silver Efex at the time I did the monochrome conversion ...... Hindsight is a perfect science.
I quite like taking photos of people but still cannot call out to get eye contact. We had a judge the other day at the club who defiantly marked people photos down which did not have eye contact (unless the subject was looking at something or someone).
I have mixed feelings on this. To take a photo of someone who is unaware of you can bring out character whereas when 'You call out' the person often poses. I suppose what you need is for the person to become aware of you at the moment to take the picture. That way its un-posed and has eye contact. HayHo I just love taking photos :)
I have put Links to other CCC members blogs at Chatham at the bottom of this post.
