Dymchurch 'Day of Syn'

August Bank Holiday Monday Sue and I with Son Mathew and his family travelled from Margate along the coast to Dymchurch for a 'DAY OF SYN' !!!

Dr Syn was a character created by author Russell Thorndike. The novels are set in the Romsey Marsh Area and are about smuggling.


The Festival is a bi-annual event

Margate Dreamland Street Photography - August

Margates Dreamland Amusement Park was reopened in 2015. It is an iconic seaside amusement park.

Dreamland Margate is an amusement park, entertainment and amusement centre located in MargateKentEngland. The site of the park was first used for amusement rides in 1880, although the Dreamland name was not used until 1920 when the park's Grade II* listed Scenic Railway wooden rollercoaster was opened.

While visiting my Son on August Bank holiday, we decided to take a walk around the amusement park. A very good opportunity to practice Street Photography.

I decided to convert this set of images to monochrome as I felt it suited the street photography genre better on this occasion. There are a few images (the first and last three that were taken just outside Dreamland)
